We’ll guide you through the complex maze of laws and regulations

Whether you’re a developer or a landowner, when you need legal assistance with a real estate land use issue, KKC can guide you through the often complex maze of federal, state, and local laws and regulations, enabling you to develop or use your land in a profitable and productive manner.

With over 25 years of experience, Attorney Dorian Reiser has found success representing clients before local administrative bodies in a variety of matters and for a variety of needs.

Our History & Matters We Handle

KKC’s founder, Robert F. Kahan, was born and raised on a Vernon farm. When he began his private practice in 1964, Vernon and the surrounding communities were experiencing substantial residential growth. As land development continued and expanded into commercial and industrial uses, KKC expanded its legal and technical staff to assist not only its farmer clients but also the land developers who came to the area to develop local properties. With development and rising complexity in this area of the law, KKC is now proud to serve clients in a variety of matters including:

  • Zone Changes
  • Variances
  • Subdivision approvals
  • Wetlands permits & redesignations
  • Regulation amendments
  • Amendments to the Plan of Conservation and Development
  • Special Permits and Special Exceptions
  • Site plan approvals for commercial, industrial & residential (including multi-family) projects
  • Gravel & earth excavation activities
  • 22a-19 Environmental Intervention Matters
  • Enforcement Actions
  • Sewer permits
  • Farming & PA 490 tax matters

KKC remains very active with the farm community through our representation of the local Farm Credit lending agency and as a member and advisor to the local Farm Bureau. However, our client base has grown to include local and national companies who seek to develop property and expand their business presence in our service area, where KKC offers the experience and resources necessary to assist in bringing about the most desirable result.
